boudoir photography studio

Spotlight Studio Renter - February

Photographer and Studio Adorn renter, Cheyenne Rose, has always had an appreciation for photography but decided to start venturing into the photography world professionally about 4 years ago. At first glance, looking at Cheyenne's dark, romantic photography it would seem she would lead a mysterious exotic life, leaving scarlet colored lips on her wine glass. But fascinatingly enough, Cheyenne Rose is a wife, mom of two and loves keeping it simple, staining her favorite coffee mug with her occasional rosy pink lip color.

Although Cheyenne's photography is dark, rich and romantic, when asked if she could hang out with anyone in the world (dead or alive), who would it be and why, she chose: " Ellen! Ellen Degeneres. Is that weird? I love her! She has such a big heart and just seems like a lot of fun!" I would have to agree that a day with Ellen would be a fun filled day of laughs and definitely some funny pictures!

Studio Adorn: What's the most life changing book that has inspired you?
Cheyenne Rose: "Reading The Great Gatsby along with watching the (original) movie is something I never get tired of. I read it for the first time when I was like 12 or 13 and before that, I read, but only kids books. You know goosebumps, the gossipy preteen books, that kind of thing. But reading that really changed my taste in books. After that I started reading more classics and enjoyed reading more. I would read a book a day. I don’t know if it was life changing, but it definitely changed the way I read. "

SA: With all of the styles of photography out there, which photography style do you feel you're known for best?

CR: "I have two very different styles I am known for, first is Documentary Family Photography. Documentary photography is all about capturing real moments. This means I don’t pose you or tell you what to do. We don’t go to a field in matching clothes. I simply come to your home, or other place your family is comfortable in, and capture you being YOU.  The other style that is really gaining attraction and people are falling in love with is my Boudoir Photography..."

"....Boudoir is intimate women’s portraits. A lot of people think of it as sexy, and it is, but it is also an empowering experience that improves self confidence and makes every woman feel beautiful!".

Harboring beneath the depth of this romantic photographer is a foodie, with an appetite for authentic Mexican cuisine. "There's an amazing authentic Mexican food place in Winter Garden called Taco Palenque. It’s a tiny place, but the food is soooo good! We used to go there a couple days a week when we live in Winter Garden."

SA: If you could be a fly on the wall of your favorite photographer when editing their photos who would it be and why?

CR:  "Ohh that’s a tough one. I know so many amazing photographers! I think I would say Candice Zugich/The Blissful Maven. She is amazing and her attitude about her art is what I love most. She make no apologies for her work and that's one of the things I love about her style."

SA: Photography is definitely an art, and much like other artists, they seek inspiration from other avenues or artists. Who are some other photographers you seek inspiration from?

CR: "Along with The Blissful Maven, I am inspired by Kala Rath, Colleen Hodges, Jamie Nicole Scott, Twyla Jones, My Four Hens, Myrtle & Moss, and Sarah Driscoll"

"I heard about Studio Adorn though a Facebook group. I was looking for a location to use close to Orlando because, although my home would be great for an in-home studio, it is just too far from my clients. I came to check out the studio and was amazed with how beautiful it is! "

SA: Tell us a little bit about how our venue improved your business and repertoire with clients?
CR: "It has made me a lot more accessible to clients. Rather than driving an hour and half to my home, they are much closer to the studio! It also gives a professional feel. Clients see the studio and are impressed with how beautiful and professional it is. "

SA: If you could add something in the studio that's a little more, you, what would it be and why?
CR: "Hmm, probably something earthy and boho. I love the wooden wall. I would love more of that feel. "

SA: Alongside photography, do you have any hidden talents or other areas of talent that you would like to highlight?
CR: "I am also a swim coach and infant swimming teacher! My husband and I owned a swim club in Hawaii and I taught the babies and coached Middle school team. I have taken some time off since moving to Florida. But I can’t wait to get back in the water!"

Cheyenne, we've enjoyed learning about your earthy, romantic and fun personality and what you offer as a photographer. Thank you for being a Studio Adorn renter and bringing in wonderful clients, just like you!

SA: When you leave this earth, what do you want to be remembered for?
CR: "Being a good person and a great mom."
