Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to each and every momma out there! Today is my second Mother's Day and sometimes I am still in disbelief that I have this little guy. I mention it occasionally and today is definitely a day to celebrate because my hubby and I had to give it our all and then some to bring Landon into this world. We struggled with infertility and a little over a year ago finally won!

This is our story in a very tiny nutshell! For 4+ years, we tried to start our family. After a few losses and incredible heartache, we were suddenly unable to conceive at all naturally anymore. We sought out a specialist, and after one year of many treatments and medications, we decided to see a new doctor. He suggested IVF, and we went for it!

When I found out we were pregnant, it was the morning before a meeting with a client. I vividly remember taking the test (1 week before I was supposed to go in for the official blood work to find out if the embryo stuck), and I just stared at those beautiful two pink lines with utter happiness.

I had my meeting, and I thought "this meeting can't end soon enough!" because all I wanted to do was go to the store to buy these adorable baby boy shoes we had been eyeing (yes, we knew it was a boy from doing genetic testing on the embryos!), and bring it home to tell Craig. That's exactly what I did. I brought the shoes home, put the pregnancy test in one of them, and then recorded Craig's reaction when I walked inside the house with it. It was perfect and we were on cloud 9 that IVF worked for us!
